Bosa and surroundings

Bosa is a jewel and its appeal is undeniable. Many have come here by chance and elected to stay, often buying a house here so they can enjoy the beauty of nature and the magic light of the West coast of Sardinia. Francesco, the owner of Sporting Hotel Stella Maris is just one such visitor who has chosen to make his home and living here.

The isolation, surrounded by sea nad mountains have protected Bosa from mass development of tourism.

The territory of Bosa is one of the most beautiful of Sardinia. There is almost every characteristic of the island ecosystems (marine, coastal, river and mountain), enriched by the presence of historical and archaeological sites.
The area is sparsely populated showing little evidence of human activity, and that which there is tends to be traditional such as farming. There are few main roads. Some areas are only accessible by foot on the tracks and footpaths allowing hikers and trekkers access to beautiful, rugged, unspoilt countryside.

Bosa offers diving enthusiasts a paradise for underwater exploration. Near the coastline you can find, in the clear uncontaminated waters, beauty and isolation beyond dreams. This is the real Sardinia, away from mass tourism, you can find purity and tranquility, where the wild and beautiful landscape merges with the azure sea.
